I often buy things for Missy and then hide them. Today was a great day to pull out a Sesame Street/Elmo mini magna doodle that I picked up at Costco over a year ago. She loved it, and I am considering buying a larger version when this one loses its novelty. This is our new "reading corner". Its nice to turn off the tv finally and just read. Our library books don't get mixed in with the regular books and they are hidden in a basket. The last few nights I have sat on the little blue couch and read The Birth House.
She really likes to look very closely at the paper/surface when she is writing. I am not sure if its something with her eyes, because she looks up close (2 inches) occasionally at her books as well.

Its mainly scribbling right now. Intense scribbling. I will keep some up on the wall for you to see...there is some in the foyer, in the hallway, the upstairs foyer, the spare room closet, on her booster seat...
OMG and people around here we whining when it was -15 here last Friday! Lounging clothes all day are a definite, and I don't even need cold weather for an excuse. I love hanging out in comfy clothing. Love the reading nook, and love storage that gets all the stuff away and out of sight yet still accessible. And the magna doodle was a huge hit with my little one too. She has the same kind of mini but it's a Disney one and it's great for in the car to keep her occupied on long drives. She just got a big one for Christmas that has little stampers in addition to the drawing pen and she really likes that too.
