weekend

Weekends are so nice right now. No hockey practice. No running to (multiple) birthday parties with cheap plastic toys from Toys R Us. No rushing to gymnastics. No rushing through Superstore. This won't last long!!

Saturday is always the same: mom gets up first with Missy. Mom makes a big pot of chai (Epicure Chai tea mix, its sooo yummy with a bit of sugar, I need to order another box). Mom makes elaborate breakfast for Missy (today was raisin toast with spreadable butter--thanks Signer! another obsession!- she thought that was too boring so she dipped the toast into raspberry syrup). Thenmom listens to CBC while doing the dishes, which have piled up from the end of the week (when lazyness and apathy have rightly set in). Playdough, Sesame Street, coloring, stickering, changing dolly's diapering, etc. Yell at dad to wake up. Dad wakes up, takes over, mom blogs and emails.

Lunch, Nap, Daddy goes to work, Mom and Missy decide what to do for the rest of the day....sometimes a date supper out for M&D, and Aidan takes over.

Sunday is much of the same, with mom sleeping in.
