mundane items

During the week our house is very low-key. Mom goes to bed right after Missy and Dad watches James Bond Movies. He asks mom every night and she politely refuses and retreats to bed with a magic bag to read "Troubled Youth: Tools for Social Workers in Schools". Oh yes its riveting.

I have started snoring. My ribs are bruised from all the rib-elbowing I am getting from my partner. Apparently I am a heavy sleep-breather as well, which I never knew existed prior to 11:47 pm last night.

No more pee on the potty. We aren't wanting to pressure Missy, so we are taking it very slow. She knows its there, she kind of knows what its for, we can take it day by day and be more aggressive in January when I am home more often.

I have been talking to lots of people about potty training, and it doesn't seem too frustrating (or at least people don't remember it as frustrating!!). She will do it on her own time.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, I am nearing the end of this term and I am soooooooooooooooo happy. I am ready to be done. I want to play playdough and kitchen and eat pretend pears again. I want to color. I want to have playdates. AND I want to work part time for an NGO or gov't, as long as I have some sort of benefits.

Job hunt...

Nice post. I am sure they all will be. I don't like James Bond movies... they are so obnoxious. The women... the bad guys...

No more pee on the potty eh?

I am currently watching the Conservative convention on CPAC.

BTW The whole "mom" "dad" "she" "he" was confusing at first to me... but it makes sense as that is how we talk to our kids!
