I posted the recipe on the cupboard door, which I read very carefully. Yes I have a potty in my kitchen. Doesn't everybody?
I turned the mixer on too fast without the flour messy cover thingy installed. Who needs that? Jeez.
The verdict? These were very good. I followed the recipe exactly (on Paula's website there are 589 reviews of the recipe and everyone suggests adding more butter, more this, less this). We have had some cookie issues in the past (they burn, dont fully cook, they are not chewy). Baba figured out its actually my pans (which are heavy dark expensive aluminum). She picked up a simple aluminum pan with a sil pat, and she made a simple batch of flawless chocolate chip cookies for us before she left!

Oh good I am glad you liked them, I'm always nervous about giving something the thumbs up in case other people try them and hate it! They really are my favorite cookies ever!
I, too, am glad you liked the cookies. They look great! Good job! I've made them for the last two Christmas holidays. Yes, I've also had trouble with the dark baking pans - the regular aluminum seem to work best. - Katie's Mom
