My daycare provider Lisa just called me at work and said, "your daughter (oh god here it comes!) is motivated to potty train".
What I like about Lisa is that if the child is ready, she follows their lead. Not just for her own convenience sake. Of course having Missy in diapers is easier for everyone there because its less to clean up, but she knows that if the child is ready, they are ready!
She advised to send lots of waffle underwear (check) and lots of pants (check). I am going to buy pull ups (disposable) because Missy is outright refusing to get her diaper changed, wear a diaper, etc. I think the laying down and changing the diaper is too baby-ish for her.
Last night she woke up at midnight saying "poop mommy, poop". She had peed and wanted her disposable changed. The whole point of a disposable diaper is to wick away the moisture so they don't feel wet. Well, thankfully this kid feels herself "going" and notifies us....in the middle of the night!
So big changes at our house.

Oh good for her! I think is now officially more potty trained than my kiddo!
