My Birds

From our living room windows we watch the birds eat like maniacs from our birdfeeders. We mainly get sparrows at this time of year. Some of them are very fat, and others are teeny tiny. I have to fill the small feeder daily. Dad even noticed we get a lot of birds and counted about 40 on the feeders, waiting patiently in the tree, and feeding off the seeds laying under the feeders.
The other morning I was so excited to see not one but two bluejays up close. I don't remember seeing a bluejay like that before. Missy came and watched them with me too. The bluejays must eat earlier than the sparrows because they were alone on the tree at 7:45 am and it was still a bit dark out.
This winter we have a few extra mouths to feed!
