Beautiful British Columbia

The great thing about summer is the kids get to see their grandparents for a large chunk of time.  In Kimberley, Missy went to summer camp and Ike got to play in the yard and visit the platzl with Nana and mommy.

Nana and Poppy have a huge yard with lots of places for the kids to play--and they can't escape! The kids would run in through the front door and out through the back door and back again.

If you asked the kids, they would say boating at the cabin was the highlight of their vacation. Staying at the cabin was where the kids finally played together--Missy never thought much of her brother before that week--but then she HAD to play with him. They chased each other around the cabin with flashlights and jumped from bunk bed to bunk bed.

The water level was very high when we got to Shuswap lake. Males find this facinating.

Ike was one of the younger cottage-rs, so he had the playground to himself most of the time. Good thing, as he isn't the best at sharing trucks.

1, 2, 3 JUMP!!!

The mosquitoes were SO terrible, we had to be indoors after 6:30 pm. We would all settle in for an hour of vintage Batman and then story time. Missy got the camera and had us act out animals for a movie. I can't remember if Poppy was a bear or moose here, but this is how she instructed him to pose.

"No dad, THIS is how you be a bear"

Bear.
