Just a quick update on Baby #2, as it is affectionaly known right now. At least until October 5th, when we find out what IT is.
Baby is supposedly the size of an avocado, and the uterus is the size of a cantelope (this I believe). Last weekend a complete stranger reached out and rubbed me. For real. But she was a grandma, so it was ok ;)
Baby is kicking now, or at least doing some back flips. I can feel it mainly at night when I finally get to sit, rest, listen to the peace and quiet of nothingness when Baby #1 (Missy) finally passes out from exhaustion. I felt baby this morning too, but probably because I had a very large London Fog. The baby likes a bit of Earl Grey!
I am obsessing about food. I want to eat EVERYTHING. I was not like this last time, I spent all my free time napping or exercising. No time for either this time around. I do start yoga next week with Brett the Doula. And I hope to start walking again at night when the mosquitoes stop procreating!! They are crazy right now.
The baby room is jam packed with stuff I have not unpacked, nor do I want to. I think Uncle Steven and NPE will put the crib together over the Christmas holidays (some holiday, I think we get about 3 days off at the same time!). I am not buying any fancy curtains or bumper pads or anything. If IT is a boy, I will need to get a few crib sheets that don't have pink polka dots, but thats it. I think Baba might make a blanket for the baby too that is not covered in pink hearts or kitties or dolls.
I am going for a prenatal massage this afternoon, and I am so looking forward to laying down on my tummy! (the bed has a cut out for my 3 lady lumps hahahahahha).
:)
