Mini Meet

Missy has been swimming since she was 7 weeks old. We have been going to family swim for 4.5 years every week, and we have started going weekly with Ike. This summer Missy grew fins when she spent the summer with her grandparents and swam 3 times a day! When she got back home, she swam nightly in her other grandma's outdoor pool with her dad. This fall she started swimming lessons, but the teacher said she would benefit from joining the Mini Swim Team. She is swimming 2 times a week with her group and she LOVES it.
She had her first "mini swim meet" or mini meet in December. It was nervewracking for me, but also hilarious. She raced 3 times and placed 4th, 5th and 6th. You can't formally compete in Saskatchewan until the age of 7, so these times don't count! She is the youngest swimmer, and it was a really good experience for her and for us. She had a ton of fun!!
